Sub: Imposition of Punitive Charge by Railways on the food grain rakes of Food Corporation of India(FCI)

One of the Zonal Railways have mentioned that Food Corporation of India(FCI) is not clearing outstanding of Railway on the plea that the report of Fact Finding Committee(FFC) constituted after the meeting held at Cabinet Secretariat is awaited.

Pursuant to the recommendation of Group of Officers(GOO) meeting held under the chairmanship of Secretary(Coordination) on 17.07.2015 in Cabinet Secretariat, a Fact Finding Committee(FFC) comprising of EDTC(R), ED(FCI) and JS(P)/DoF&PD was constituted.

Fact Finding Committee(FFC) in its report has recommended - “all dues upto 2014-15 will be settled by FCI after mutual consultation with Railways at local level”.

The report of Fact Finding Committee(FFC) has been accepted by Chairman, Railway Board and Secretary, Department of Food & Public Distribution.

Zonal Railways may please take further necessary action.
