Sub: Clarification as regards Wharfage rule in respect of Parcel booked in
bulk Ref: Board’s letter No.TC-I/2009/201/2 dt.9.12.2009 (Rates Circular No.69 of
2009)
Clarification has been sought regarding reckoning of free time for removal of parcel booked in bulk and rate of Wharfage in such cases.
The matter has been examined and it is to clarify that in the case when parcel is booked on full VPU/BCN rake basis, the extant Wharfage Rules (viz. classification of Railway premises, permissible free time for removal, reckoning of free time, rate of Wharfage etc.) as prescribed for goods traffic will be applicable
These instructions will be implemented w.e.f.0#,04.2010
This issues with the concurrence of Finance Directorate of Ministry. of
Railways.
