Sub: Guidelines regarding provision, installation and functioning of weighbridges Ref.: Para 3.5 of Rates Master Circular/Provision of Weighbridge/2014/0 and its Corrigendum No.5 dt.30.10.2015

In terms of Para 3.5 of Rates Master Circular under reference, the exemption from replacement of static weighbridges with electronic in-motion weighbridges(EIMWBs) is permitted in specific cases over SER, SECR & ECR and the same is valid upto 31.03.2017 as per corrigendum No.5 dt.30.10.2015.

The matter has been reviewed and it has been decided to extend the validity of above mentioned exemption beyond 31.03.2017 for a period of one year i.e. upto 31.03.2018 in following cases:

e SECR - SAIL/Bhilai Steel Plant and collieries sidings of M/s SECL

e ECR - Static weighbridge of M/s CCL at Karagali, Kathara(W), Kathara(M), Swang(W), Swang(M), Giddi ‘A’(W), Giddi *A’(R), West Sirka & Bhurkunda; of M/s BCCL at Dugda-I & Dugda-II and M/s NCL at Jhingurdah

e SER - Rajarappa Washery of M/s CCL

Accordingly, Para 3.5 of Rates Master Circular under reference may be modified.

Zonal Railways should ensure regular calibration of static weighbridges in a periodic manner situated in above-mentioned locations. Railways should also furnish the action plan for replacement of static weighbridges with EIMWBs or notifying associate/alternate associate EIMWBs for above-mentioned locations.

! This issues in consultation of Traffic Transportation Dte. and with the concurrence of Finance Dte. of the Ministry of Railways.
