Sub: All India Engine Hour Cost(AIEHC) for recovery of Siding and Shunting Charges Ref: Board’s letter of even number dt.01.06.2016(Rates Circular No.18 of 2016)

Ministry of Railways have decided to revise the All India Engine Hour Costs circulated vide Board’s above-mentioned letter. The revised rates will be effective from 1* July, 2017.

2.0 Revised Rates

3.0 Costs to be recovered for steam locos wherever in use over Indian Railways shall be identical to that of Diesel Engines indicated above.

4.0 These revised costs will remain in force until further orders.

5.0 Rounding off of shunting period would continue to be done as per instructions laid down in Para 3.6 of Board’s letter No.TC-I/2008/214/1 dated 06.02.2009 (Rates Circular No.14 of 2009).

6.0 Action may please be taken to give due notice to the siding owners before introduction of revised Siding and Shunting Charges.

7.0 The afore-mentioned instructions will also be applicable for Indo-Nepal Traffic.

8.0 This issues with the concurrence of Finance Directorate of Ministry of Railways.
