Sub: Charging for pantry cars attached to Military Special Trains Ref: Rates Circular No.21 of 2006

A clarification has been sought as regards charging for movement of pantry cars attached to military special trains.

The matter has been examined and it is clarified that pantry car is a type of coaching vehicle which may be charged as per Paras 2.1, 2.2 & 2.3 of Rates Circular No.21 of 2006.

This issues with the concurrence of Finance Directorate of the Ministry of the Railways.
