Ref: Corrigendum No 53 dt. 20.11.2023, Corrigendum No. 55 dt. 09.05.2024 & Corrigendum No. 58 dt .24.12.2024 to Rates Master Circular/CRT-CCR-Hub & Spoke/2015/0

1.0. In terms of above referred Corrigenda, guidelines were issued for operation of Mini Rakes of container trains over all Zonal Railways.

2.0. The matter has been reviewed and it has been decided to re-introduce the guidelines for operation of Mini Rakes of container trains for a period of one year i.e from 01.08.2026 to 31.07.2027.

3.0. The terms and conditions shall be as under:

A Mini Rake shall consist of a minimum of 25 wagons.

Such Mini Rake transportation product is permitted for Container traffic only.

The total Free time permitted for handling Mini rake shall be 5 hours at each terminal.

A Supplementary Charge at the rate of 10% shall be levied on the applicable Haulage Charge.

The notified commodities carried in a mini rake of Container train shall be charged at Container Class Rate (CCR), irrespective of number of containers loaded with notified commodities. The commodities other than the notified commodities shall be charged at the applicable Haulage rate i.e. per TEU basis or per GTKM basis, whichever is applicable.

Routes for operation of Mini Rake shall be identified in consultation with the PCOM and PCCM of Zonal Railway.

All other extant guidelines regarding charging, restricted and notified commodities, mis-declaration, overloading etc. shall continue to apply.
