Sub: Registration of demand for wagons electronically (e-RD) through FOIS web portal Ref.: Rates Master Circular/e-RD/2014/0 & its corrigendum no.2 dt.28.04.2015

Please refer to Para 5.2 of the Rates Master Circular under reference regarding registration of customer for availing e-RD facility which prescribes furnishing of TIN number by the customer.

Zonal Railways have informed that they are facing problems on the above account as some of the customers do not have TIN number.

The matter has been examined and it has been decided that in case a rail customer has not got TIN number, he may be allowed to give “Service Tax Registration Number’ during registration of customer under e-RD. Accordingly, the extant and revised instructions of the second bullet point of Para 5.2 of the circular under reference are given below:
