Sub: Container Rail Terminal(CRT), Container Class Rate(CCR) and Hub & Spoke System of charging Ref: Rates Master Circular/CRT-CCkR-Hub & Spoke/2013/0

Please refer to Para 1.2.1 of Chapter-II of the circular under reference regarding list of notified commodities, for which Container Class Rate(CCR) is applicable.

The matter has been reviewed and it has been decided to exempt “Polished Granite Slab” from the list of notified commodities upto 31.03.2016. The ‘Polished Granite Slab° will now be charged at Haulage Charge per TEU basis instead of Container Class Rate(CCR).

In view of the above, the term ‘Bricks and Stones other than Marble & Ceramic Tiles” mentioned in Para 1.2.1 of Chapter-II of the circular under reference will now be read as ‘Bricks and Stones other than Marble, Ceramic Tiles & Polished Granite Slab’.

These instructions will come in to force w.e.f. 22.06.2015 and will remain valid up to 31.03.2016.

Zonal Railways will furnish monthly feedback regarding transportation of ‘Polished Granite Slabs* in containers for review.
