Ref: Rates Master Circular/CRT-CCR-Hub & Spoke/2015/0 and its corrigendum 4 dt.15.06.2016

Please refer to Corrigendum 4 dt.15.06.2016 of the Rates Master Circular under reference vide which ‘Kota Stone’ has been exempted from the list of notified commodities upto 31.03.2017.

The matter has been reviewed and it has been decided to extend the exemption of ‘Kota Stone’ from the list of notified commodities upto 31.03.2018. ‘Kota Stone’ will continue to be charged at ‘Haulage Charge per TEU’ basis instead of ‘Container Class Rate(CCR)’ till such period.

In view of the above, the term ‘Bricks and Stones other than Marble and Ceramic Tiles’ mentioned in Para 1.2.1 of Chapter-II of the Rates Master Circular under reference may be read as ‘Bricks and Stones other than Marble, Ceramic Tiles and Kota Stone’.

Zonal Railways will furnish monthly feedback regarding transportation of ‘Kota Stone’ in containers for review.

This issues in consultation with Traffic Transportation Dte. and with the concurrence of Finance Dte. of Ministry of Railways.
