In existing system, Container Train Operator(CTO)’s staff physically goes to Goods terminal and submit container details (in Forwarding note performa) to CGS and CGS feed all details in TMS through Demand cum Release Task.

The matter has been examined and it has been decided to digitize the whole process.

Now. CTOs will submit all requisite details with regard to container traffic through e-RD module and EDI interface. as per the process flow designed by FOIS/CRIS (copy enclosed). Demand will be confirmed only after following this process.

These guidelines will be implemented w.e.f-01.06.2023.

This issues in consultation with Traffic Transportation directorate of Railway Board.

In exiting system CTO staff physically goes to Goods terminal and submit Container Details (in Forwarding note proforma) to CGS and CGS feed all details in TMS through Demand cum Release Task. Sometimes

different Destinations/CNSR/CNSG entered by CGS due to wrong declaration by CTOs.

To avoid manual intervention of Railway Staff and to Digitalize Declaration of Container Demand /Loading details by CTO through e-RD module and EDI interface, following changes are suggested.

1. Movement of Container train is already implemented in e-RD module to declare Destination so following step can be used

1. The existing Movement Order module designed in e-RD module for Container Trains can be enhanced to capture all the Indent/Forwarding Note details currently entered by the Goods Clerk in the Demand-cum-Release task.

2. CTO can retrieve all rakes in Movement Order task in e-RD module which are available at a particular terminal for Loading/Unloading.

3. System shall show all the Wagons Details currently associated with that Rakein the Screen

4. After selectingparticular rake, CTOshall submit the following details:

a. Normal/Hub & Spoke Movement

Destination

Consignor Code/Name/Address

Consignee Code/Name/Address

Weight in Ton

No. of Loaded/Empty Container.

5. CTO shall also select the Wagons which are going to be loaded in the Current Loading Cycle.

6. After submission of Movement Order by CTO in e-RD module, the rakes for which movement order has been submitted will be displayed with different color in Hand’ Screen of FOIS/TMS Application.

7. In FOIS/TMS Application, Good Clerk will select that particular rake from ‘Rakes on Hand’ Screen and opt for Demand-cum-Release Task. Demand-cum-Release task shall be pre- filled with the data already captured in the system from the CTO in e-RD Application against that particular Rake, Goods Clerk shall only capture the placement and release timings and other details in the ‘Release Details' tab.

8. After saving the details in Demand-cum-Release task, Goods Clerk shall report the ‘Release Complete’ task in FOIS/TMS Application.

9. After that, FOIS Applicationshall automatically send the rake/wagon details to CTO's system through EDI for fetching Loading details (Wagon-wise Container Details),

10. CTO’s system will send the loading detailsof the specific rake to FOIS/TMS Application through EDI.
