Sub: Designed Tare Weight, Permissible Carrying Capacity and Loading Tolerance of BRN wagon.

Ref: (i) Board’s Rates Master Circular/PCC/2015/0 (No.TCR/1394/2014/2) dated 19.10.2015.

(ii) Board’s letter No. TC-I/2010/108/4 dated 16.09.2011.

1.0 Please refer to S.No.24 to Annexure-1 of Board’s Rates Master Circular referred at (i) above wherein Permissible Carrying Capacity (PCC) and Loading Tolerance of BRN wagon was notified and letter referred at (ii) above vide which Designed Tare Weight of BRN wagon was communicated as 20.32 tonne.

2.0 Matter has been reviewed and sanction of the competent authority is hereby accorded to notify the PCC, Loading Tolerance and Designed Tare Weight of BRN wagon as per the following:

Designed Tare Weight 24.393 tonne

Loading Tolerance 1 tonne Excepted CC+6 | 62 tonne

PCC Routes Universalized CC+6 | 64 tonne Routes CC+8 Routes 66 tonne |

3.0 All other details of the Rates Master Circular and Board’s letter under reference shall continue to apply unchanged.

4.0 These instructions shall come into effect from 2.5°.12.2017 and shall remain valid till further advice.

5.0 This issues with the approval of Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Traffic Transportation Directorates and with the concurrence of Finance
