Sub: Weighment and load adjustment of overloaded wagons Ref: WR’s letter No.C353/2 Vol. XI dt.06/07.01.2016

Please refer to WR’s letter under reference wherein Railway has suggested that customer may be allowed to do test weighment upon completion of loading, if they complete loading within the permissible free time. If overloading is found and load adjustment is done within such free time, no charges should be levied. Upon release, the mandatory weighment may be conducted and if overloading is detected, Detention Charge may be levied.

The matter has been examined and it is to advise that Railway’s

suggestion has not been agreed to.
