Corrigendum to Rates Circular No.69 of 2009 Government of India Ministry of Railways (Railway Board) No.TC-1/2009/201/2 New Delhi, dt..32-@ .2010 General Manager All Indian Railways. Sub: Wharfage & Demurrage rule in respect of Parcel/Luggage Traffic Ref: Board’s letter No.TC-I/2009/201/2 dt.9.12.2009 (Rates Circular No.69 of 2009) A clarification has been sought regarding Wharfage/Demurrage rule in respect of parcel/luggage traffic. The matter has been examined and it has been decided to revise Paras 2.3, 2.5 3.2.2 and 3.3 of Rates Circular No.69 of 2009, as under: "2.3. Page 2 of 3 "3.3 Corrigendum to Rates Circular No.69 of 2009 DEMURRAGE RATES > Demurrage Charge including Penal Demurrage Charge if any will be levied for excess detention of wagon/van at the rate prescribed for goods wagon from time to time. However, in case of detention to individual wagon/van/SLR resulting in detention to the entire rake, Demurrage will be charged on the entire rake. However, demurrage rate for SLR will be 25% of the rate prescribed for a goods wagon."
