PR ee A कत गुअष्ििन जनजी No.2025/¥-LINSPY LI New Delhi dated, 19.06.2025 The General Managers, All Zonal Raibvays, Production Units, CORE, DG RDSO Sub: Induction of vigilance inspectors at Level-7/level-8 posts, Ref: Railway Board's letter No. PC-VII2019/RSRP/3 (RBE.No. 1535/2022) dated 17.1 1.2022. Vide Board's letter under reference, pay structure of 50% posts in certain Group C cadre has been upgraded from level-9 to bevel-8. Various representations have been received from Vigilance units across various Zonal Railways, highlighting difficulties in attracting suitable applicants for the posts of Vigilance Inspectors. Since most posts in the Vigilance Organisation are at Level-7, eligible and experienced officials currently serving in Level-8 positions (comprising 30% of the feeder cadre) were unable to apply. To address this issue, the Railway Board (with the concurrence of Member Finance and approval of CRB & CEQ) has penmitted the operation of Level-8 posts in place of the sanctioned Level-7 posts in Vigilance, on a eo-terminus basis, This shall be achieved by transferring selected officials along with their Level-8 posts from the respective Zonal Railways/Production units, with a corresponding transfer of Level-7 posts back to the concerned Railways ensuring no net financial impact.
