1. Vide ref. (ii) above; loading diagram for loading of 04 Granite Blocks on a wagon 
was given as per the requirements submitted at that time.  
2. Now the proposal for loading of 06 no’s to 15 no’s of granite block has been 
submitted vide ref.(i) above but it may be noted that no dimensions of these blocks 
have been mentioned in the submitted proposal. In the absence of complete 
dimensions, standard loading diagrams could not be made. However, an envelope 
loading diagram no. SK-WD-III-02/2024 Alt-Nil with the general guideline to be 
followed has been prepared and is attached herewith. 
3. This envelope drawing has been prepared to meet varied requirement of granite 
loading in open wagons (BOXN, BOXNR and BOST) by Zonal Railway.  South 
Western Railway with experience of loading such consignments since 2008 will 
ensure that additional measures are also taken to ensure safety and to avoid 
damages to the wagons.  
4. A proper system shall also be put in place to ensure that loading and securing by 
loading firm is done following guidelines issued by Zonal Railway and system for 
certification of the same is also put in place. 
A feedback shall be sent by Zonal Railway to RDSO after 06 months to incorporate 
any changes/improvements required in above loading arrangement.
