Subject : Admissibility of Charge Allowance during Study leave — clarification regarding

Ret : 1. iCF’s letter No. AEE/GA/FP/Vol.VI dated 05/07/99.

2. CPO/ICF’s DO No. PB/GG/26/1178 dated 01/07/2002.

ICF have requested to clarify as to whether the Charge allowance is admissible to an officer during the Study leave

2 The matter has been examined in consultation with Pay Commission and Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways. [t has been decided that Charge Allowance should be treated as pay for the purpose of calculating leave salary including Study leave.
