Chief Administrative Officer/PTS, Northern Railway, IRCA Building, State Entry Road, New Delhi – 110055 Subject: Beta release of HHT Application Version 2.9.0.

In order to launch the enhancements and upgradations desired in HHT application by Railways from time to time, Beta version of enhanced HHT Client Application 2.9.0, for functionalities given in the Annexure A has been released on the production environment.

List of New Ffeatures/Enhancements are enclosed herewith as Annexure –A and steps for installation of HHT QR scanner app are enclosed herewith as Ann-B.

Annexure –A New Feature / Enhancements and Bug Fixes in HHT App Version

2.9.0

1. UTS Mobile Ticket Verification with Passenger Image:

Enabled scanning of mobile UTS tickets displaying passenger images for verification.

2. Premium Train Fare Reminder: An alert will be displayed when working on a premium train to remind users to collect the end-to-end fare for the journey, as per Railway Board letter No. 2025/VSS/SR/PC/02.

3. Concession Passenger Verification: A pop-up will prompt users to confirm whether concession passengers have the required supporting documents, as per Railway Board letter No. 2024/TG-V/1/1.

4. Mumbai Suburban : Introduced a new, simplified EFT entry form for the Mumbai Suburban section as per CAO PTS/74/HHT- TTE/Expo/Roll-out/2013/Part-1

5. Coach-wise Remarks : Added a page to enter remarks on a coach-wise basis. Already added remarks by previous users can be seen on the same page.

6. EPASS Verification: Added an option to verify EPASS using UPN number.

7. Manual EFT : Introduced automatic fare calculation for manual EFT entries which can be edited by TTE. This feature can be configured for selected users.

8. Expired UTS Tickets : Alerts will now be generated when expired UTS Monthly/Quarterly tickets are scanned.

9. Enhanced Ticket Scanning : Improved UTS/PRS ticket scanning for faster processing.

PNR Enquiry :

Enabled PNR enquiry for PRS Modernization.

UTS Changeover Station : Added the UTS Changeover Station option to the UTS Fare Route Utility.

Enhancement in EFT : Enabled the option to combine UBL or UBP with WT in SL class.

13.

Enhancement : validation added for Free Duty EFT entries with RTC as the payment mode.

14.

Multiple Pets : Added an option to charge for multiple pets in a single EFT.

Electronic EFT: Following new features are added in eEFT Module:

o New reasons are added for EFT issuance related to medical purposes [Medical consultation and Other Medical Charges] as per suggestions from SR and SCR.

o E-EFT SMS Resend : Added an option to resend SMS for e-EFT when delivery of original sms fails.

o This feature can be configured for selected users.

Bug Fixes:

1. Fixed an issue where UTS ticket scanning remained stuck on loading when device location was turned off.

Annexure –B How to Install HHTQRScanner.apk on HHT Device

1. Open the download link on your Android tablet.

2. The APK file will start downloading automatically.

3. Once the download is complete, open HHTQRScanner.apk.

4. If tablet displays a message such as “For your security, your tablet is currently not allowed to install unknown apps from this source”, tap Settings.

5. Enable Allow from this source for the browser or app you used to download the APK
