F.No. No.39011/Railway/2024-Estt.(B) Government of India Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions Department of Personnel & Training (Pers Policy B.1) North Block, New Delhi S** October, 2024 OFFICE MEMORANDUM Subject: Recruitment to Indian Railway Management Service (IRMS) as decided by Union Cabinet on 24.12.2019 -reg The undersigned it directed to refer to Ministry of Railways proposal on the above-mentioned subject received vide OM No.2024/E(GR)I/37/1 dated 3rd October, 2024 and to say that the proposal has been examined in this Department. 2. Considering the unique requirement of both Technical and non- technical manpower in Ministry of Railway, the in-principle approval of this department to the proposal of Ministry of Railways for recruitment through UPSC- ESE and UPSC- CSE is hereby conveyed subject to following conditions: @ The proposed scheme of recruitment shall not in any way, be in contravention to the decisions of the cabinet dated 24.12.2019. (ii) The required changes in the Recruitment Rules shall be made with consultation of DoPT / UPSC and approval of the competent Authority. (ii) UPSC agrees to carry out the recruitments as envisioned in the proposal. This issues with the approval of the competent authority.
