Sub: Clarification regarding traffic of NMG coaches from India to Bangladesh via rail routes

(i) |Board’s Rates Circular No.24 of 2019.

(ii) | Rates Master Circular/ Dynamic Pricing Policy/2015/0 and its Corrigendum No.2.

(iii) Rates Circular No.19 of 2016.

kkRRK Bangladesh Railway have requested Indian Railways for movement of NMG coaches from India to Bangladesh via rail routes via Benapole, Darshana, Birol, Radhapur for transportation of all commodities from Bangladesh and specified commodities from India.

Matter has been examined and it is reiterated that the charging of NMG traffic shall be as per extant terms and conditions as following, including modifications in same from time to time:

(a) Charging in terms of Rates Circular No.24 of 2019;

(b) Levy of 25% congestion charge on base freight rate in terms of Rates Master Circular/ Dynamic Pricing Policy/2015/0 and its Corrigendum No.2;

(c) Movement in standard rake size of 25 wagons and minimum number of wagons to be loaded is 24 wagons in terms of Rates Circular No.19 of 2016.

(d) Custom clearance charges @ 2204 per wagon plus GST as applicable shall be levied.

As and when (if) there is any revision in above, the same shall be applicable on NMG traffic to and from Bangladesh as well.
