Restoration of Parcel Services in passenger-carrying trains.

Railway Board's letter No. TC-11/2910/2020/Special Train/Covid-19 dated

28.05.2020.

***** Vide para 3 of Instructions issued vide Railway Board's letter under reference, it has been decided to permit booking of parcel and luggage in all Special Trains of train booking date of 31 st May 2020 onwards.

Further on this matter, it has been decided that:

(i) The scale applicable for Parcel/Luggage booking shall be as per the existing categorization of regular time-tabled train service for charging of parcel and luggage;

(ii) Lease of Parcel space shall be permitted as per the regular corresponding time-tabled service;

(iii) Attachment of Parcel Vans shall be permitted, subject to operational feasibility.

Necessary instructions may be issued to all concerned.
