The hire charges for passenger coaches and locos for the purpose of Inter-Railway
Financial Adjustment were last revised vide this Ministry’s letter of even No. dated 10.05.2023.
It has now been decided to revise these rates as indicated below:-

(ii) Rates per coaching vehicle per day
The hire charges of coaching vehicle, the following cost per 4-wheelers/8 wheelers per

day may be adopted and apportioned among the different Railways on the basis of kms
earned on the respective Railways:-

These rates will be effective from 01/04/2024 and shall be valid for one year or till the
revised rates are conveyed by this Ministry. These rates will be common for both the Coaching and
Goods services. The adjustment should be carried out in whole rupee duly rounding off the figures
in paise to the nearest rupees.

अपनाया जाए और संबंधित रेलवे पर अर्जित किलोमीटर के आधार पर विभिन्‍न Yat के बीच से विभाजित किया
जाए:-
