MW/SPD/BG dated16.05.2025 (ii) Railway board Letter no. 2018/M(N)/172/1 dated 29.11.2024 (iii) CCRS letter no. M.2015/M(N)/2017-18/TW dated 07.11.2024 (iv) Railway Board letter no. 2014/TT-1/RDSO/33/03 dated 01.04.2025 CCRS vide reference (iii) had raised specific concerns regarding different speeds under various loading conditions and multiple combinations of speeds over IR and DFCCIL and recommended categorisation of wagons under limited categories of speed. In continuation of letter under reference (iv), it has been decided to categorise wagons listed in Annexure-I of this letter into four standard speeds viz. 45 kmph, 60 kmph, 75 kmph, and 100 kmph. Zones are required to issue guidelines on this basis of the attached table as per approved JSC in their respective Zones. The wagons in the same speed and same functional group should ordinarily be used for rake formation for ensuring purity of speed and functionality. This list is liable to be revised as and when any higher speed revision of wagons is notified. All speeds are subject to permanent and temporary restrictions imposed by the concerned Zone.
