Sub. : Systemic improvement regarding fixation of ceiling limit and declaration
of private cash for onboard technical staff.

As a measure of systemic improvement and in order to promote transparency, and
in suppression of this office letter referred above at (iii), ceiling limit of private cash of
onboard Carriage staff, OBHS staff and their supervisor, AC Mechanic, AC Coach
Attendant, Diesel Fitter, etc. is being fixed with the approval of the competent authority i.e.
PCME. The ceiling limit of private cash for onboard staff is fixed as under:
For trains having round trip journey time up to 3 days Rs. 2000.00
For trains having round trip journey time more than 3 days | Rs. 2000.00 + Rs. 1050.00
for each additional day.
The cash should be declared in the private cash declaration register as per format
mentioned in Railway Board letter referred above at (i) before proceeding for the onboard
duty. Private cash declaration register should be maintained by the Divisions. In case,
private cash being carried by above mentioned staff is more than the prescribed ceiling, the
denominations of the cash and its purpose should be clearly mentioned in the private cash
declaration register.

Rajdhani Express on 10.08.2021 on the aspect of cash declaration of on board
technical staff (C&W) of the said train. During.the..check, the on duty technical staff,
