Sub: Deferment of POH & ROH of all type of wagons during ‘Lockdown Period’ Ref: Ministry of Home Affair’s Order No. 40-3/2020-DM-I(A) dated 24.03.2020

The epidemic of COVID-19 has gripped the country and 21 day lock down has been declared vide Order under reference w.e.f. 25.03.2020.

In order to increase availability of wagons for transporting essential items, it has been decided to permit POH & ROH overdue running of all types of wagons which are overdue upto three months against the stipulated 30 days as a temporary measure till the end of the lockdown period.

These instructions will stand extended till the lockdown period in case of any extension of the lockdown.

All wagon maintenance depots should ensure that any overdue POH & ROH wagon which is allowed in service as per these instructions is examined carefully for safety and other rejectable defects as per IRCA Rules & Wagon Maintenance Manual and rectified fully prior to being permitted in service.
