Number and categories of railway stations On the basis of the information furnished by the zonal railways, stations over Indian

Sub: Number and categories of railway stations Please refer to Railway’s letter no.*_ _ dated ____s wherein the category-wise list of stations along with additional information such as station code, name of the division, etc based on the annual passenger earnings of 2011-12 was furnished to Board’s office. On the basis of the information furnished by the zonal railways, stations over Indian Railways have been classified and put under various categories, railway-wise details of the same is enclosed, While adequate care has been taken to compile the data furnished by all the Zonal Railways, in case of any error noted subsequently, Railways are requested to rectify that discrepancies and advise Board by 20.07.2013 failing which details as in Column (9) of Annexure shall be treated as final.
