Sub: Air conditioning for Officers Chambers.

Ref: This office letter of even no. dated 01.12.2016.

Vide above referred letter, Policy directives were issued from Board’s office that Railways can decide on their own the requirement of air conditioning with approval of Divisional Railway Manager/General Manager. The letter was issued with approval of Board (MTR) in supersession of all the letters issued earlier on the subject.

Further, in the full Board Meeting of Railway Board held on 16.02.18, it has been decided that all officers’ chambers, unless they are a part of the centralized air- conditioning, be provided with air-conditioners. Similarly, the hostels of Centralized Training Institutes and all rooms in the ORHs may be provided with Ce

Sub: Provision of Air-conditioning in Railway Offices, Buildings and other Railway centres.

Ref: CESE/ER’s letter no. EL/4/2/AC/DB dt. 10.08.16.

Reference has been received from Eastern Railway regarding provision of Air conditioning of dining hall & other common areas of Yantrik Nivas Hostel. The matter has been examined in Board’s office and keeping in view the importance of these buildings/Offices and various developments being made in Railway offices, buildings, other centres, Railways can decide on their own the requirement of air-conditioning

with approval of Divisional Railway Manager (DRM)/General Manager (GM).

2. This. issues with the approval of Board (MTR) in supersession of all the letters issued earlier on the captioned subject.
