WESTERN RAILWAY ADVANCE RATES NOTIFICATION NO.33 (COACHING) OF 2025 PARA FOR RATES ADVICE (COACHING) OF 2025 Sub:- Refund on cancellation of tickets issued by ATVM facilitators.

Ref :-Railway Board’s letter No.2011/TG-I/10/ATVMs/Facilitators/e-file dated 29-2-2024.

****** Vide Para 5 of the JPO forwarded alongwith Board’s above referred letter, it was inter-alia indicated that refund of tickets issued by ATVM facilitators will be done at the serving station or any other station in the cluster, as per refund rules in force.

With a view to address the problems being faced by passengers,Railway Boarrd has now decided that refund of such cancelled tickets may be given in cash to the person presenting the ticket in accordance with the refund rules applicable from time to time.

Refund of such cancelled tickets issued by ATVM shall invariably not be credited in the facilitator’s card. However, the bonus admissible on the fare value given to the facilitator shall be deducted from the related ATVM card.Genuineness of such cancelled tickets issued by ATVMs shall also be verified by the stations staff before making any refund.

CRIS shall make requisite changes in the software.

Implementation of these instructions shall be reviewed based on sample checks in 3 months time and factual position in this regard may be advised to this office for onward submission to Railway Board’s office.

Necessary instructions may be issued to all concerned accordingly.

This has reference to Railway Board’s letter No.2025/TG-I/10/ATVM/Refund of ticket dt.29-07-2025.
