Vide letter under reference, basically foilowing two clarifications have been sought for:

(i) What would the term “equivalent” mean used in Para (v) of Board’s letter issued vide RBE No. 130/2010 as the Army uses several types of certificates which is equated to various educational standards in civil societies; and . |

(ii) Whether ex-servicemen who has put in less than 15 years of service and has got an initial matriculate certificate without Army class —I certificates can also be considered.

2, As regards (i) above, it is apprised that candidates in possession of Army class | certificates (Hindi) may be considered as equivalent with that of Army class Il English certificate in light of letter of Department of Ex- servicemen Welfare 34162/2010/C2 dated 03.12.2010 cited in letter ibid.

3. As regard (ii) above, it is informed that Board’s letter issued under RBE 130/2010 clearly stipulates that ex-servicemen who have retired after putting in 15 years of service and has passed Army Class-l certificates or equivalent will be considered while recruiting such people. Therefore, clarification sought in (ii) above does not hold good... - +
