Ref:- Director(C&IS)’s letter No. 2005/C&IS/Vending Machine Pt.-I dated 01.03.2007 _ केक में कर्ज मे में के के मे EER ES - ‘ Smart Card based Automatic Ticket Vending Machine (ATVM) have been. installed on Central, Western and Southern Railways and are. proposed to. be installed on Northern, Eastern, South Eastern and South Central Railways. Suggestions were received to make modifications.in the scheme of ATVM with a view to make it popular 2 The suggestions have been examined and it has been decided as under:- . i) Security Deposit for ATVM card should be Rs. 30/-(one time) which can be topped up with the fare in the multiple of Rs. 50 upto the maximum limit of Rs. 1000/- with 5% concession on ticket portion ii) Validity of smart card should be six months from the date of last recharging. However, for refund purposes, one month’s grace can be given and 8 person can get refund of the fare portion and security deposit upto séven months from the date of last recharging ' iii) Renewal of season tickets through ATVMs will be permitted after completion of successful trial by CRIS and ensuring provision of confirming with back end server before renewal. iv) Renewal of season ticket should not be possible if there is either loss of connectivity with the UTS system or in case network is down due to any reason v) No discount/bonus will be given on issue/renewal of season tickets.
