4. The provision of Leave renecvas as per percentrcenr mentioned in Annexur-e-I will epply to the permanent posis. Leavwa reserves With reference to the temporary posts shoul: be provided at 7/8th of the percentages prescribed in respect of permanent posts. For this purpose, thé number of sanctioned temporary posts as on Ist April and Ist October of each year should be adopted.

5 Leave reserve percentages, wherever they ars below .

the minimum percentage prescribed, should be brought up to the - minimum, except in respect of posts chargeable to the Demand pertaining to the Administration. In the ease of Loco Running — Starx ani Guards, the leave reserves may be provided at the maximum of 30% anu 25% respectively.

6. Tae provisions of leave reserves ia intended So cover absenteeism on various county i.é., not only leave but also other purpose: lixs joining time on transfer, vision tests, training courses, cow:t attendarce, attendance at enquiries, PNM meetings, selections ete. Luave.reserves should, therefore, bs utilised .

for the purpose for which they are intended and they suculd not be posted aciinst regular vacancies by keeping the leave reserve posts vacunt for long periods. .
