Issue of uniform and other accessories to Gangmen (Trackmen), Keymen, Mates and Patrolmen-specification for Raincoat.

Reference Board's letter of even number, dated 27.12.2005 on the above mentioned subject. It has been brought out to Board's notice that BIS standard for 'Raincoat' should be "IS :5915-197:]" instead of "IS:

59159-70 as prescribed in the Board's ibid letter.

The matter has been examined and it is advised that BIS standard to which the Raincoat-rubberized water proof coat with full sleeves with cap/hood as provided for in S.No. 6 of the Board's ibid letter dated 27.12.2005 should conform to may be read as "'IS: 5915-1970" instead of "IS:

59159-70".

This issues in consultation with the Finance Directorate of the Railways.
