Sub: Issue of Post Retirement Complimentary Passes.
Ref: Board’s letter of even no. dt. 20.71.05.
' Issue of Post Retirement Complimentary Passes to retired railway servants is regulated in terms of provisions contained in Schedule IV of Railway Servants (Pass) Rules, 4986 (Second Edition, 1993). em No. (iv) under column 3 of Schedide IV ciovides 85 under--
“(iv) Post Ratirement Complimentary Passes shall not be issued to those railway servants who are dismissed from service,”
2. Subsequently, it was decided by the Board that ratired railway employees in whose cases the whole of gratuity and pension has been withheld permanently a8 & result of D&A proceedings shail not be.entitied to Post Retirement Complimentary Passes and accordingly, item no. (iv) under column 3 of Schedule \V_ of Railway Servants (Pass) Rules, 1986 was amended vide
Advance Correction Slip No. 47 (circulated vide Board’s letter No.
E(W)2002PS5-8/5 dated 20.14.05) as under:-
. *(iv) Post Retirement Complimentary Passes shall not be issued to those railway servants Who are dismissed from service and to those retired railway servants Whose whole of gratuity and
pension has been withheld permanently a8 थे reguit of D&A’
proceedings.”
3. ‘The entire gamut of issue of Post Retirement Complimentary Passes to dismissed/removed railway employees has again been reviewed by the Board and it has been decided as under:-

Post = Complimentary Passes shail not be issued to those Railway servants who are dismissed from service.
(ii) Post Retirement Complimentary Passes shal! also not be issued to those Railway servants who are removed from service on or after the date of issue of this latter

(iii) Post Retirement Complimentary Passes shall not be issued
to those retired railway servants on whom the penalty of cent ©
Percent cut in pension and gratuity has been iraposed on or after 20,1.05. }
(iv) . Post Retirement Complimentary Passes shall be issued to those railway servants who are dismissed or removed from थे gervice SRS eo SSue of this Ietter_but are orafter the date of issue of this letter but are granted compassionate allowance in terms of Rule 65 of Railway Services(Pension) Rules, 1993. Post Retirement Complimentary Paes shall be issued to such dismissed/removed vriway servants from the date of grant of compassionate allowance and after their death, their widows would also be entitled to widow pass in terms of provisions contained in Schedule V of Railway Services (Pansion) Rules, 1986.
(v) The Railway servants, who were removed from service before the data of issue of this letter, shall continue to be entitled to Post Retirement Complimentary Passes as personal to them, and after their death, their widows shail
also be entitled to widow pass.
