Rates Circular No.09 of 2026 r{RiTg{tFfit GOVERNMENT OF INDIA tddzrgq MrNrsrRY oF RATLwAYS dmt+g RATLwAY BoARD) No. TC -U20 20 I 302 I efie (33 337 29 I 3 488 622) dt.22.06.2026 General Manager All Indian Railways Sub: Incentive to enhance modal share in containerized traffic of Tiles Ref: Rates Circular No.4 of 2025 dtd'11.03.2025 and its Corrigendum No.l dtd.25.07.2025 In terms of Board's above referred circular and its Corrigendum, incentive scheme to enhance the modal share of Railways in transportation of tiles traffrc in containerized form was introduced with validity up to 31.03.2026.

The issue has been reviewed and it has been decided by the Competent Authority to re- introduce the subject scheme with guidelines as under:

1.0. Originating Clusters:

The scheme shall be applicable for the following originating stations/clusters identified primarily under Western Railway:

Morbi (MVD .

Sukhpur(SCLS) .

Wadharba (NCLW) .

Maliya Miyana (AOMM & MALB) .

Makansar .

Any other station/cluster identified by ZonalRailways (e.g. WR, WCR, etc.) having originating tiles traffic in containerized form.

2.0 Terms and Conditions:

(i) Allowing mixed cargo container rake from any originating stations of identified cluster with at least 50 TEUS containing tiles and balance TEUs with any other commodity generally permitted for carriage in containers.

(ii) 50% discount shall be applicable on the empty haulage charges of the empty containers laden flat wagons which are returning to originating cluster from the destination. The rakes are permitted to return either in empty or mixed composition.

(iii) Also, the above (Para ii) discount is applicable to alternate container rake of the same CTO, returning from the same destination to the originating cluster, in lieu of the original rake after its arrival at the destination. However, it shall be ensured that discount is given to any one of the rakes of concemed CTO is a single round trip.

3.0. This scheme shall come into force w.e.f. 01.07.2026 and shall remain valid till 30.06.2021.

4.0. Zonal Railways shall monitor the performance of the scheme and submit a report on its efficacy in enhancing rail share of tiles traffrc.

5.0 CRIS/FOIS shall make necessary system modifications for implementation of these instructions.

6.0. This issues in consultation with Traffic Transportation Directorate and with the concuffence of Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.
