Homoeopathic/Ayurvedic Dispensaries under Staff Benefit Fund

-Increase in SUbsidyon medicines.

1.

This has reference to Ministry of Railways' letters no. E(W)88WE1-16, dated 21-3-1989 and 10-7-1989 on the above-mentioned subject.

2. .

The matter regarding increase in subsidy on medicines, which also includes monthly honorarium payable to the dispensers engaged in the Homoeopathic and Ayurvedic dispensaries run by Staff Benefit Fund Committees, has been under examination.

The Ministry of Railways have decided that the subsidy on medicines (including dispenser's honorarium if engaged by the SBF committees) may be revised as under:

Rs.2,OOO/-p.m.

Rs.6,000/- p.m. (including Rs.2,OOO/-p.m. for Dispenser)

(b) Homoeopathic Dispensaries RS.500/- p.m.

'Rs.2,000/- p.m.

(including Rs.500/- p.m.

for Dispenser, if required)

3.

The procedure regarding allocation of necessary additional funds for the purpose would be the same as in para-3 of the Board's letter no.E(W)2004/ WE-1I6, dated 08-12-2005.

5.

In case of the Zonal Railways, expenditure on this account is chargeable to Demand NO.11 (Staff Welfare & Amenities) Minor head "Medical Services" (Control and superindence at Headquarters and Divisions).

In case of

2 Production Units, etc., the expenditure would be chargeable to correspon heads of account.

6.

This issues with the concurrence of Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.
