The General Managers, All indian Railways & Production Units. व Sub: Grant of complimentary pass to the victims of national calamities/disasters.
Consequent upon the announcement made by the Minister of Railways in. his Budget Speech 2005-06, it has been decided that special complimentary cheque passes in second/sleeper class: should be issued to the persons stranded in the national calamities/disasters which are notified by the Central Government. The passes maybe issued from the stations
falling under the area notified to the destination station of the victims. -..
2. The complimentary special cheque passes may be issued subject to the following conditions:-
(i) The natural calamity/disaster has been notified by the Central Government.
(ii) The concerned District Magistrate/equivalent civil . authority recommends and certifies that persons to whom passes are to. be issued are the victims of natural calamities/disasters, which are notified by the Central Government. me
3 Complimentary special cheque passes in second/sleeper class will be
issued fron the offices of Zonal Railways/Divisional Offices, and a separate account of the same should be maintained by the pass-issuing unit. ह
4, This issues with the concurrence of Finance directorate of Ministry of Railways.
