Sub: Operation of trains services - Parcel and Luggage. REF: Railway Board’s letters No. 2021/CHG/33/7 dated 12.11.2021, and No. TC-II/2910/21/Covid-19-Review HSP fare dated 12.11.2021. In continuation to the instructions issued vide letter sunder reference, Ministry of Railways further desires that post restoration of train numbers for various passenger-carrying trains, there shall be ‘no change’ in the existing scales for charging of Parcel and Luggage traffic applicable on such trains. The scales for charging of Parcel and Luggage traffic as applicable before restoration of train numbers shall continue to be applicable after restoration. Further, the annual review of the scales for charging Parcel and Luggage traffic shall be conducted as per the existing practice, to be implemented w.e.f. 01.06.2022. This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Directorate of Railway Board.
