Sub: Haulage Charges for postal traffic

Ref: Railway Board’s Freight Marketing Circulars No. 05 of 2018 dated 19.02.2018 and No. 18 of 2019 of even number dated 28.06.2019.

Haulage charges for Postal traffic carried in postal vans and non-postal vans for the year 2018-19 were initially revised through Freight Marketing Circular No. 05 of 2018 dated

19.02.2018 and after review, status quo was maintained at par with 2016-17 and 2017-18 vide Freight Marketing Circular No. 18 of 2019 dated 28.06.2019.

2. It has now been decided to revise the haulage charges for postal traffic carried in postal vans and non-postal vans for the years 2019-20 as under:-

Distance Slabs 2019-20

0-500 Km %0.97 per berth per Km.

501-1000 Km %0.62 per berth per Km subject to minimum realization of

haulage charges applicable on distance of 500 Km. subject to 1001 Km and above

minimum of %485/-.

%0.51 per berth per Km subject to minimum realization of haulage charges applicable on distance of 1000 Km. subject to minimum of %620/-.

3. Point to point charges shall be rounded off to the next multiple of five.

4. Other terms and conditions mentioned in the letter dated 19.2.2007 and revised from time to time for charging of postal traffic, billing and payment will remain unchanged.

5. This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Commercial Directorate of the re of Railways. ः

6. Necessary instructions may be issued to all concerned immediately.
