Sub: Haulage Charges for postal traffic

Ref: 1. Railway Board’s Freight Marketing Circular no. 05 of 2018 dated 19.02.2018

2. Requests from Member (Operations) of Postal service Board dated 31.12.2018

Haulage charges for Postal traffic carried in postal vans and non postal vans for the year 2016-17 were revised through Freight Marketing Circular No. 01 — _of 2016 dated 11.03.2016 and the same charges were retained for 2017-2018 also vide Freight Marketing Circular no. 04 of 2017 dated 31.03.2017. Further, vide Freight Marketing circular no. 05 of 2018 dated 19.02.2018, haulage charges for 2018-19 were notifed. ह

2. On the requests received from Department of posts the hualage charges for the year 2018-19 has been reviewed and it has been decided that there shall be no increase in the haulage charges for the postal traffic for the year 2018-19.

Accordingly, the haulage charges for postal traffic carried in postal vans and non- postal vans for the years 2018-19 shall continued to same as that of 2016-17 & 2017-18 as under:-

Distance Slabs 2018-19 %0.95 per berth per Km.

501-1000 Km %0.61 per berth per Km_ subject to . minimum realization of haulage charges

applicable on distance of 500 Km. subject to minimum of %475/-.

1001 Km and above %0.50 per berth per Km subject to minimum realization of haulage charges applicable on

distance of 1000 Km. subject to minimum of %610/-

3. Point to point charges ve) rounded off to the aoe of five.
