Sub: Online booking of personal luggage to be carried along with passenger inside reserved compartment on confirmed tickets.

Ref: 1. This office letter of even no. dated 07.03.2025 (copy enclosed).

2. CRIS letter no. CRIS/HQ/PRJT/69/2025-PMS dated 25.06.2026

***** Vide this office letter dated 07.03.2025 referred above (Ref. 1), in principle it was decided to implement online booking of personal luggage up to maximum prescribed weight limit to be carried along with passenger inside reserved compartment on confirmed tickets only. Vide CRIS' letter dated

25.06.2026 referred at Ref. 2 above it has been proposed for implementation of the same w.e.f 31.07.2026.

In view of above it has been decided to implement online booking of luggage w.e.f 31.07.2026 as per terms and conditions prescribed in above referred instructions

Necessary instructions may be issued to all concerned accordingly.
