Sub: Revision of freight charges for transportation of all animals including "wild animals-& birds in Parcel-vans and Brake vans. -

REF: Boards Freight Marketing Circulars No. 07 of 2016 dated 27.06.2016 and No. 03 of 2017 dated 17.03.9017.

Vide Freight Marketing Circular No, 07 of 2016 dated 27.06.2046, charges for

~ transportation of all animals including wild animals & birds in. Parcel vans and

Brake vans were revised and are being charged uniformly at ‘L-Scale instead of Scale-'+25% irrespective of the category of trains. The revised charges were

_ further extended upto 30.09.2017 vide. FM Circular No. 03 of 2017: dated

17.03.9017

"2. The'matter has been reviewed and the Ministry of Railways have now decided

that the charges as revised vide Freight Marketing Circular No. 07 of 2016 dated

27.06.2016 shall continue to be applicable beyond 30.09,2017 upto 31.12.2017,

3. No Free allowance shall be permissible in.case of booking of animals/birds as luggade. _ era

4. Apart from above other charges like development charge, GST etc shall be levied separately as per the instructions notified from time to time

5. Other terms and conditions for booking of animals including wild animals/birds

will remain same,

6. This issues with the Concurrence of the Finance Directorate of the Ministry of

. Railways.

7. Necessary instructions may be issued to all “ta ed immediately.
