General Managers, All Indian Railways.

Sub: Attachment of VVNs as 25" vehicle in passenger carrying trains.

It has been decided that VVNs can be attached as 25" vehicle subject to the following conditions:

1. Old design VVNs are allowed as 25" vehicle as the rear most vehicle only.

2. New Design Milk Vans to RDSO Drawing No. CG-13010 (i.e. VVNH1) can be attached next to engine or as rear most vehicle.

3. The approval is subject to following condition- “The maintenance standard of Milk Tank Van should be in accordance to passenger coaching stock/EMU stock”.

The issues with the approval of Mechanical and Coaching Directorates of Railway Board.
