Sub: Haulage Charges for postal traffic ,

Ref: Railway Board’s Freight Marketing Circular no. 01 of 2016 of even number dated 11.03.2016. )

Haulage charges for postal traffic carried in postal vans and non-postal vans for the year 2016-17 was. revised through Freight Marketing Circular no. 01 of 2016 dated

11.03.2016.

2. it has now been decided that there shail be no change in the haulage charges for postal traffic carried in postal vans and non-postal vans for the years 2017-18. The rates applicable for the year 2016-17 shall continue to be charged as under:-

Distance Slabs 2017-18 0-500 Km 0.95 per berth per Km.

501-1000 Km 70.61. per berth per Km _ subject to

minimum realization of haulage charges applicable on distance of 500 Km. subject to minimum of %476/-.

1001 Km and above 70.50 per berth per Km subject to minimum realization of haulage charges applicable on

distance of 1000 Km. subject to minimum of | %610/-.

3. Point to point charges be rounded off to the next multiple of five.

4. Other terms and conditions mentioned in the letter dated 19.2.2007 and revised from time to time for charging of postal traffic, billing and payment will remain unchanged.

5. This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.

6. Necessary instructions may be issued to all concerned immediately.
