Sub: Revision of freight charges for transportation of all animals including wild animals & birds in Parcel vans and Brake vans.

REF: Board’s Freight Marketing Circular No. 07 of 2016 dated

27.06.2016 . : . :

Vide Freight Marketing Circular under reference above charges for transportation of all animals including wild animals & birds in Parcel vans and Brake vans were revised gnd are pregently being charged uniformly at ‘L’- Scale instead of Scale-‘L’+25% irrespegtive of the category of trains.

2. The matter has been: reviewed and the Ministry of Railways have now decided that the charges ag revised vide Freight Marketing Circular No. 07 of : 2016 dated 27.06.2016 which are applicable upto 30.03.2017 shall continue to be applicable beyond 30.03.2017 upto 30.09.2017.

3. No Free allowance shall-be permissible in case of booking of animals/birds as luggage. os .

4. Apart from above other charges like development charge, service tax etc Shall be levied separately as per instructions notified from time to time

5. Other terms and conditions for booking of animals including wild animals/birds will remain same. . |

6. This issues with the Concurrence of the Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.. +

7. Necessary instructions may be issued to all concerned immediately.
