GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS RAILWAY BOARD ‘No.2023/E&R/1(1)/4(Pt) New Dethi, Dated _1.1.2025 The General Manager, Northern Railway, Baroda House, New Delhi. Sub: Formation of Jammu Division under Northern Railway. 1. Ithas been decided to set up a new division with headquarter at Jammu under Northern Railway by reorganization of Firozpur division, 2, The new Jammu division is proposed to have the following sections totaling 742.1 KM a) PathankotJammu-Udhampur(now Martyr Captain Tushar Mahajan)- Srinagar-Baramula (423 RKM) ७) Bhogpur Sirwal-Pathankot (87.21 RKM) c) Batala (Excluding)-Pathankot ( 68.17 RKM) d) Pathankot-Joginder Nagar (NG section) (163.72 RKM) 3. Final jurisdiction will be determined based on Detailed Project Report (DPR). 4 The divisional headquarter office at Jammu should be set up as modern office utilizing the full potential of information technology. It should have 2 lean organization setup. All the posts required for working of new Division will be provided from existing posts of Northern Railway, 5 A Detailed Project Report on above lines should be submitted early to assess the infrastructure requirements and organizational structure needed for Setting up the Division, modalities of transfer of staff to the new Division etc 6...
