West Central Railway, Jabalpur Sub: Development of Exclusive Container Rail Terminal on Railway land RRKKKEK In order to promote container traffic, a need has been felt to issue policy guidelines for development of container terminals on railway land. Accordingly, guidelines for development of Exclusive Container Rail Terminal (ECRT) on Railway land have been formulated and are enclosed in Annexure 1. These guidelines shall be applied as "proof of concept" on the identified location in Indian Railway. An indicative list of such locations is attached as Annexure 1A. However, Zonal Railways may add other locations if sufficient market is available for domestic container traffic or they may delete some of the listed locations.
