(Amendment No. 13 to ‘Leasing of Parcel Cargo Express Train Policy’) Sub: Amendment to ‘Policy for Leasing of Parcel Cargo Express Train’. Ref: FM Circular No. 02/2007, Board’s letter No. 2007/TC(FM)/10/3, dtd. 20.02.2007. जज... जज... Please refer to FM Circular No. 02/2007, issued vide Board’s letter under reference, wherein Policy guidelines for leasing of ‘Parcel Cargo Express Trains (PCETs)’ were issued. 2. In this regard, attention is invited to para 23.1 of the Policy, which restricts loading of commodities listed in Red Tariff, in PCET. 3. The matter has been deliberated upon, and the Competent Authority has decided to amend para 23.1 of the FM Circular No. 02/2007, dtd. 20.02.2007, as under: Para 23.1: “Lease holder shall load only such commodities which are permissible to be booked as ‘Parcel’, under prescribed Railway Rules. Offensive, contraband, dangerous, explosive and any other commodities which are prohibited to be carried by Railways or banned from time to time by other departments of Central/State government shall in no case be allowed to be loaded in any part of Parcel Cargo Express Train. However, commodities listed in Red Tariff may be allowed to be loaded in Parcel Cargo Express Train subject to compliance of all the extant guidelines applicable for packing, labeling, marking, loading, unloading, etc. of such commodities ”.
