Consequent upon the announcement made by
Hon’ble Minister of Railways in the Budget Speech for
the year 1995-96, it has been decided that free educa-
tional facilities should te extended to the wards of
licenced Porters in Lhe schools run by Railways. and
Railwaymen’s Organisations/Mahila Samities. This
should be given wide publicity among the Licenced
Porters so that they can avail of this facility.

2, The schools run by Mahila Samities and Rail-
waymen’s Organisations should be suitably advised in
the matter It may Wappen that these schools may’ have:
to incur some expenditure in imparting free education
to wards of Licenced Porters In such cases, the
schools may be suitably compensated by grants-in-aid a:
provided under: the Rules.
