Dress Allowance of different categories of railway employees at present 15

listed below:

Uniforms and are required to wear them regularly like Trackmen, Running Staff of Indian Railways, Staff Car Drivers, MTS, Canteen Staff of Non- Statutory departmental Canteens, etc. _

Nurses

At present ticket checking staff is entitled for Dress Allowance@ Rs 5000/- per annum. but during interaction with ticket checking staff it was brought to notice that the allowance is not adequate enough to maintain two sets of dress.

Since the nature of duty of Train ticket checking staff involves their movement in all coaches for ticket checking and allied passenger services, the uniform worn by ticket checking staff gets stained & deteriorates faster.

Board are requested to examine this and enhance the Dress Allowance of ticket checking staff from Rs 5000/- to Rs 10000/- as applicable in case of Station

Masters and RPF personnel.
