Sub: Liberalised Automatic Freight Rebate Scheme for traffic loaded in Traditional Empty Flow Directions (TEFD).

Ref: Rates Circular No. 16 of 2018 and Corrigenda thereto.

1. In terms of Rates Circular under reference, policy guidelines for Liberalised Automatic Freight Rebate Scheme for traffic loaded in Traditional Empty Flow Directions (TEFD) were issued. This Scheme is operative up to 31.03.2020.

2. Sanction of the Competent Authority is hereby accorded to delete the intra-zonal TEFD stream SBP - KUR appearing at S.No.3, Sub-S.No.3.1 in annexure-2B for Open Wgons (BOXN group) and TEFD stream SBP — KUR (IRST) appearing at S.No.3, Sub-S.No.3.1 in Annexure-2C for Flat. Wagons (Mixed Steel Rakes) of Rates Circular No.16 of 2018.

3. All other terms and conditions stipulated in above referred Rates Circular and corrigenda thereto shall remain unchanged.

4. The revised instructions shall come into force w.e.f. 24.01.2020.

5. This issues in consultation with Traffic Transportation Directorate and with the concurrence of the Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.
