Railway Guwahati South East Central Railway, Bilaspur Southern Railway, Chennai South Western Railway, Hubli Ld S.C.Railway, Secunderabad. West Central Railway, Jabalpur. S.E. Railway, Kolkata Western Railway, Mumbai No.TCII/2910/07/Development Surcharge (.) Reference Ministry of Railway's letter of even number dated 26.3.07 regarding levy of “Development Surcharge” on Passenger tickets, in lieu of Safety Surcharge (.) It is clarified that the instructions/clarification on Safety Surcharge issued vide this Ministry's letters/Telemax No. TCII/2910/2001/Safety Surcharge dated 4.9.01, 10.9.01, 2.1.02 & 31.1.02 will apply to Development Surcharge also, subject to Board's letter of even number dated 26.3.07 mentioned above (.) Necessary Clarifications may be issued to all concerned (.) This disposes off Western Railway's letter No.C.171/2 Vol. IV dated 10.7.07 and South Western Railway's letter No.C.210/Halt/PC/Vol-I/06 dated 13.7.07 & 1.8.07 (.) U. Hazarika/ Railways (.) (U.
